Let’s Get Out Of Our Own Heads!

How many times have you heard someone say, “You just have to get out of your own head?” Usually, you hear this when you are “stuck” and questioning yourself. Well, wouldn’t it be interesting if instead of “getting out of your own head,” you made your head a nice place to be? I think that sounds better! How can you make your head a better place to be?1. Reflect and Learn. What do you want to know more about? What knowledge do you need, want, or aspire to that will make you happier? Read books. Listen to podcasts (or books) to start feeding your head!2. Surround yourself with awesome people. There is a direct line between the people you surround yourself with and your mental health (at least I think so). Although we often can’t control EVERYONE we have to interact with (and what would be the fun in that anyway?) but we can make sure we have some of those people in our life that just gives us good vibes. Find those people and make sure you spend time with them!3. Eat and Drink well. In this case, your “head” is your mind, and your mind runs on the fuel you give it. For example, I have fed my body (and mind) nothing but cookies, cakes, and other assorted treats for the past 24 hours. Thus, I find myself writing a newsletter about this topic! 😉 None of us are perfect when it comes to eating the “right” foods all of the time. However, if we want to make our heads a great place to be, let’s pay attention to what fuel we use! These are just my thoughts and suggestions…do with them what you want!
